Significance and Value of Making Dua in Islam

In the perspective of the Islamic worship system, Dua is an Arabic phrase that simply translates to summon someone. Dua is the phrase used to describe a circumstance in which an individual seeks something from Allah Almighty. In this view, Dua is highly essential in the lives of Muslims since it’s like having a one-to-one conversation with our creator where we express our desires to Him and beg for His assistance in resolving our difficulties. Dua is not just a surrender of our concerns to Allah (SWT) rather it’s an act of worship. Dua means that you are not asking anybody else to help you but you have utmost faith in your Lord.

Always keep in mind that only Allah can grant your requests, so requesting people to perform dua for you is only a way of connecting. Be humble and kind toward others so that Allah will be generous and kind towards you. Dua’s that come straight from the heart are more likely to get accepted.
